Trainee lawyer, Cherelle Campbell has become one of the first women to undergo dimpleplasty - a pioneering plastic surgery that punches holes in the cheeks - in a bid to get dimples like Cheryl Cole.
Cherelle says, '' When God was giving out dimples I was at the back of the queue. I find myself on the street or watching tv and anyone with dimples stands out for me.''
Dimpleplasty, which involves making an incision with a scalpel and stitching the new dimple into place costs 1500Euros for both cheeks.
''I was impressed as I didn't think they were going to be that deep, it's mixed feelings, ''Cherelle saidafter the surgery. ''Once it has been healed, I know I will love it.''
The programme which is presented by Kate Piper, explores the length that people will go to in order to change the way they look.

I know its's free choice but stories like this really saddens me when people are not happy with the way they look that they will go to the extremes to change. And offcourse there will also be money grabbing surgeons more than willing to do it! Why can't people be happy that they are alive and healthy?

You were obviously at the back of the queue when he gave out common sense as well.
ReplyDeleteIt looks ridiculous and I watched that show and she wasn't happy with the result and aren't dimples only meant to come out when you smile anyway.
ReplyDeleteDimples turn to lines when you get old, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteBit extreme I think
ReplyDeleteServes her right for copying someone else's idea, where's the originality!? Bit sad copying from a celebrity
ReplyDeleteThis is a joke, right? You can't just put dimples into someone's face! They look ridiculous - they just don't suit her face...because her face wasn't meant to have dimples! Gosh, what a shame. She's such a pretty girl...why on earth would she do this? Completely baffling.
ReplyDeleteShe's absolutely right, of course - she hasn't hurt anyone but herself, but it still makes me sad that she was so upset with her body that she felt she had to do this. She'll also never get a job with those craters in her cheeks - she wants to be a lawyer, and that's a really tough business to get into as it is. Looking unprofessional is not going to help her chances of getting a job.
I'm just hoping it's reversible so maybe in a couple of years, when she's older and a little bit more mature, she'll realise she was just fine the way she was.
and if Ms Cole had a broken nose you would want one ?
ReplyDeleteit looks like they put two holes in her face, so she got what she paid for, just a shame they look like two holes in her face, not dimples
ReplyDeleteThey don't look natural, but it's her body and her money so best of luck to her.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit over the top, People are not going to remark about her beauty, but rather a problem with her cheeks!
ReplyDeleteYuck.......... madness....ignorant madness.
ReplyDeleteIt's a reflection on how some look up to certain celebrities thinking their the bees knees, when really they're worst examples as they're in a different World to the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the photo I thought some accident happened to her then I read the article and it confirmed my thought.
ReplyDeleteShe has to feel foolish. The least she could have done is to have kept her private life out of the public domain.
ReplyDeleteDimples? They look like...well to be honest I don't know what they look like. Poor silly girl. They are in the wrong place on the wrong face. What was the doctor thinking.
ReplyDeletestupid doesn't come close, looks like she was shot through one cheek and out of the other
ReplyDeleteMore money than sense
ReplyDeleteShe looks better before the surgery...now she's looking awful, too bad. This is waste of money
ReplyDeleteThis is very sad, why can't people be happy that they are alive and healthy. I hope these dimples they are reversable. I just hope. The whole world must learn from this
