Fresh reports indicate that the abductors of
Chief Inengite Nitabai, the cousin of President Goodluck Jonathan,
demand N500m ransom for release of the victim.
The Nation, referring to its security source, provides that the abductors threatened to kill Nitabai if the family fail to pay the mentioned amount.
It has also been stated by the source, which pleaded anonymity, that
the victim's relatives started negotiations with the hoodlums, who
contacted them four days after the committed act.
It would be
recalled that Inengite Nitabai was abducted on Sunday evening by some 10
gunment from his residence located in Bayelsa having terrified his wife
and children, took all the money.
Several people have been reportedly arrested in connection with the case.
