OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR ROTIMI AMAECHI: by Papi

Dear Amaechi,

How are you and the family? I presume fine. I hope you would be in the office and not in Abuja to read this shabby letter from a nobody like me?
I have watched you in the past 6months beating the drums of war, calling on Mr President to get dirty with you. It is sad because I was taught that only insecure people cannot show honor. They are too busy fighting to prove to everyone their worth, proving that they are somebody. But you see if you have to prove that you are somebody, then it means that deep inside, you fear that you are not!

A few months ago, I watched you on tv as. you talked about how God made you the governor of Rivers state, and how no one can do otherwise. I ask you, do you read that bible or just claim to be a Christian? I mean no disrespect, but I will give you a little assignment, please read the book of Samuel and Kings. When you are done you would understand why God referred to King David as "A man after my heart". King David could not strike down saul even when saul tried killing him, because he knew leaders are anointed by God, he did not only choose not to kill Saul, he even rebuked his soldiers urging him to do so.

I have read statements by you on our dailies, claiming to be a man of honour and saying you are against the President for the good of the River's people.
I will put it to you, that being a person of honor does not depend on who your leader is; it depends on who you are! Honor is not about your leaders; it’s about you! Failure to honor and respect the president says much more about you than it does about him.

I will now put my Eleganza Biro back into my golden basket, and before I do let me ask "Amaechi are you honorable"? Even David's right hand men could not talk david into dishonoring Saul. David honored, even when his leader Saul was not honorable.
