In a goodwill message to commemorate the 77th birthday of the former leader, the Forum praised Obasanjo for his contribution to nation building, especially in the area of deepening the nation’s democracy.
In a statement by the Forum’s Chairman and Niger State Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu in Minna yesterday, the forum said the nation is lucky to have Obasanjo and described his life as one of exceptional professional and political accomplishments.
DO YOU AGREE?
Agree
ReplyDeleteNow, we can use GSM, ATM and some other things which we never had b4 1999, the baba try. He also brought GEJ. If not all dese animals 4 don take over
In my own sincere and unbiased view: Obasanjo remains the worst thing ever to have happened to Nigeria and Nigerians. You don't need to seek for reasons to back this up! He singularly as an individual and collectively with his inner and outer circles destroyed all the institutions in Nigeria. Anyone that is informed with all the facts about Nigeria who holds a different view from this is simply myopic, a hypocrite, or Nigerians' enemy!
ReplyDeleteits obvious u re biase on OBJ, well am not myopic lik u said but if an essay comptetio is given, i il start wit his reform agenda, and consolidation of some of them b4 he left, i il remind u d confidenc in d bankin industry dat attractd foreign investors, d pension, ministry, job creatio as a result of d reform, i may evn remind u dat b4 OBJ perm sectaries in govt agencies & profs did not kno how 2 operate desktop computers nt 2 talk of ipads. dear tobby i was privledged 2 work as an international observer durin darfur crisis chaired by OBJ den, dat was whn i saw d talent in him. well generation yet 2 kom wil wake up 1 day 2 say tanks 2 him 4 handin bakasi.
DeleteBaba ooooooooooo! king of boyz, OGA gbogbogbo of Ota, two times President Military and Civilian regime Rtd Lt General Olusegun Obasanjo the only person who brought G.S.M phones to Nigeria OGA, the only at 77yrs old but still looks like a 20yrs old man OGA, Godfather to almost all Nigerian leaders OGA, RESPECT LARGE OGA.
ReplyDeleteUnu rhapu ya, baba try.... He chose goodluck so that the south can shut up.... He is the wisest politician so far.... Atleast things were better in his time.... Inflation is getting to the roof since he left... He knew just how to handle terrorists and mek peace... No be this fear fear GEJ
ReplyDeletenot that OBJ know how to handle terrorist, they were only afraid of him because he is an ex soldier, and those behind Boko Haram at the time are also ex soldier and know what baba can do. The Niger Delta militant are not terrorist , we all know what they fought for and nor did they bomb every innocent soul like Boko Haram. GEJ is trying, even though i want him out and i never vote for him, but you must understand that people just make life difficult for him in the name of God's fatherism and these are same people that suppose to help GEJ government as ex leaders, they control the military and they give all information to Boko haram even before the JTF strikes. Goodluck is only there as Chief of Army staff but he's not the real person controlling the battalions, each battalions are owned by those ex soldiers. GEJ is the first democratic elected president and it won't be easy for him especially when the powerful of the country refused to assist him.
DeleteI swear obasanjo contribution to nigerian is 100% better dan badluck ebele jonthern
ReplyDeletebecause he feard no boko haram n dealt wit dm hs nt afrd of anybdy bt gudluk is a man of peace
Deletem not a fan of OBJ, but the truth is that in the aspect of unifying this country is still the best president to promote unity & bringing all the tribes together
ReplyDeletena make em still get good level playing ground to dupe us more na. If we seperate do u think all these big politicians will be making the amount of money they make while we're still together?
DeleteCrap... He is one of the problems Nigeria is facing today... I wonder how long dese greedy people want to keep making decisions for the country when they cant even take decisions in deir home...
ReplyDeleteObasanjo is a big mistake to Nigeria n should be in jail by now
ReplyDeleteI still feel bad the manner death robbed us of YarAdua,a man with the best interest of Nigeria at heart.Compared to Our Clueless,Insensitive,Visionless and easily-manipulated Jonathan,Obasanjo is a far better option.People won't know the havoc this government has caused Nigeria until after Jonathan reign of disaster.History will show Obasanjo did a very good job...God bless you,Baba with good health and long life(Amen)
ReplyDeleteFa, fa, fa...foul!!!! This mad is the cause of the woos in Nigeria since he came into power as a military head to his civilian position as a president. Baba Obasanjo, is not good at home and at work! Aman who cannot govern his family will certainly NOT be able to rule over a great nation like Nigeria....all this one wey em dey do na wash wash.
ReplyDeleteIts never seen cheap to b a leader.obj is a gr8t man.some pple comment nonsence even if Nigeria is given to ur fathers to rule hmm they cn do nothing.u gotta b bad b4 u're good.many are speaking bad against jonathan a God sent leader sorry to dem all we dnt value wat God is doin in our country.even if God decide nd came inform of a human to rule Nigerians pple wil speak evil against him too..pples mentality

ReplyDeleteOBJ is indeed a gift 2 naija, generatio yet 2 kom il wake up one day 2 celebrate him, 4 d critics of OBJ i ka respond only if it is an essay competition, i may start by remindin u his reform agenda & consolidatio of some of them, d reform in d civil service, prior 2 his admin. perm sectaries evn profs did not kno how 2 operate desktop computer not 2 talk of laptop, i belif we stil remembr d pension reform, d bank and d confidence in d bankin industry dat attracted foreign investors, succesful transformatio of community banks into microfinanc witout liquidation, d job creatio as a result of d reform, d economic & political stability, d managing of bakasi which wold v caused war wit cameroon. Ndi Igbo as a nation lets celebrate him. i was privledged 2 work wit him durin sudan crisis, i saw d gift in him and i quote him " africa problem can only b solved by african leaders, west shold stay away" a word spoken in d presenc of UN, World Power.
ReplyDeleteSo long as northernans r concern dey wil neva see anytin gud in GEJ,dey can go n hug transformer oga Jona don't mind.
ReplyDeleteI partially agree ooo becos if it was to be in his regime I dont think this bastards called Boko "Harlot" will even raise their ugly head...I believe everyone can testify about the story about OBJ and the naija delta militant
ReplyDeleteHipocrites! Wen Yar'adua died u pple said he led him to an early grav to pave way for Oga Jona, now that he is no longer wit Oga Jona u pple now know how relevant he is...same way u pple are handling d boko haram menace. Tel urselves d truth & naija 'll be good 4 all of us.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what... Obj can't be a president and watch the so called boko haram wasting life everyday. Obj is focus and always know what to do at any given time. Good luck is busy sacking people and doesn't care about people's life! Gosh!!! For all I care. Obasanjo is better than goodluck.
